If you’re looking to try something a little more wild than your basic makeup, then how about throwing some metallic lipstick into your routine? With bold colours that add a dramatic shimmer you can stand out in a crowd.

I am a HUGE fan of metallic lipstick, but I’ve only been brave enough to wear it for a few occasions. If you’re looking to add a little extra umph to your look, then check out these 11 awesome colours.

Silver Lipstick by Covergirl

When it comes to picking the ultimate metallic colour, I have a hard time choosing between gold and silver as my favourite. But I have this thing about how silver brings out most eye colours, so I’m choosing to go with Covergirl’s Exhibitionist metallic silver lipstick.

What I love about this lipstick, in particular, is that it has great reviews but you can get it for under $10 USD. It feels soft and luxurious on your lips and is said to complement every skin tone—though when it comes to silver I think the darker skin tone you have the more gorgeous it looks ?.

Metallic Gold Lipstick by Too Faced

Naturally, the runner up for best colour when it comes to metallic shades is gold. It’s bold yet classy. So, while you might feel you’re overdoing it, chances are you’re on point. That’s where Too Faced’s Melted Gold comes in.

This is one of the best gold metallic lipstick choices, but it is a gloss not a stick so it goes on a little thinner. Some wearers say that it has more of a glitter and metal look, and it doesn’t last as long as some of the other lipstick colour choices we have on this list.

Pair this bold metallic lipstick with equally as bold mascara. Check out my favourite one, Better Than Sex.

Rose Gold Metallic Lipstick by Cosmic Moon

Rose gold is my absolute favourite metal colour. If you’re getting me a ring to put on my finger, then that’s what you need to go with. I also like it as a lipstick choice because it’s somehow subtle and bold. And, if you’re looking for a budget choice, check out Cosmic Moon’s Rose Gold metallic lipstick.

This lipstick brags that it’s “packed with pigment” so you get comfortable but bold coverage. If you love the budget price but don’t love the rose gold colour, then check out their other four colours including gold, silver, red and pink.

Metallic Gunmetal Lipstick by Maybelline

If you’re looking for dark bold but want more shimmer than a distinct black, Maybelline’s Dark Silver Gunmetal is a great choice for you. It’s a rich bluey-green mixed with silver that creates something truly dramatic for your look.

It has a brilliant metallic finish but because it’s infused with honey nectar it has a comfortable but creamy matte texture. Not to mention it’s a totally affordable choice and they have a whole line of metallic lipsticks including red, orange and purple!

Bronze Metallic Lip Colour by Wet ‘n Wild

Wet ‘n wild Megalast is a great stubble choice for a metallic bronze lipstick. It’s an affordable choice that boasts it provides full-coverage colour all day long.

It is a gloss, so you won’t get quite the same thickness as a traditional stick choice, but the formula includes Macadamia derivative and Vitamin E for a comfortable and hydrating wear.

Light Blue Metallic Shimmer Lipstick by Too Faced

If you’re looking for a unique colour with a metallic flare, check out Too Faced’s La Creme Mystical Effects in Unicorn Tears. A fun combination of blue pink and purple, you’ll stand out in the crowd!

This lipstick has a holographic vibe that can actually be worn over your favourite lipstick brand (or by itself). It comes out as a sheer lavender with a sky blue lift.

Metallic Purple Lip Gloss by NYX

Purple is fun, bold and great for a night on the town where you really want to stand out. If you’re looking for the metallic purple liquid lipstick then look no further than NYX’s Ego which provides a dark, distinct purple wear.

NYX creates cruelty-free products and this long-lasting lip colour will surely make a statement. It goes on smooth and dries striking. It’s built for long wear, is transfer-proof but is still velvety soft.

Blue Metallic Lip Colour by Too Faced

While the unicorn tears colour we talked about earlier provides more shimmer than metal, Too Faced Throwback in Bionic provides a fun metallic mixed with sparkle look that will add fun to your day.

It is a highly pigmented choice that comes on as an “iridescent sterling aqua with a metallic shimmer finish.” If blue isn’t your colour, they also have a pink Pixie Stick and a red Hot Flash.

Green Metallic Lipstick by Kat Von D

Green metallic lipstick always reminds me of aliens, but I truly do love it. And if you’re looking for a bold, quality true green cream stick, you’ll want to make sure to check out Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Plan 9.

Adding a little green to your makeup might make you feel like you’re going too far but if you do it correctly, you’ll be the star of the show. This lipstick is high-chroma, super creamy and weightless.

Red Metallic Lipstick by Too Faced

Red lip colour has a place in the heart of most women, but if you want to take it a step further take a look at Too Faced’s Too Too Hot which is some of the best metallic red lipstick on the market.

It has a multi-reflective metallic finish but also contains a touch of sparkly to give you a truly playful red. Too Too Hot comes out as a “iridescent ruby red” so you won’t want to miss it!

Metallic Pink Lip Gloss by Ciate London

We’d be remiss not to mention a pink when it comes to picking the perfect bold lipstick. When it comes to finding the best metallic pink lipstick, check out Ciate London’s Trouble lipstick.

While this is a gloss, it dries in as little as two minutes into a metallic matte with multi-dimensional glitter. If you want to go with a traditional pink but need something bolder, then you might want to take a peek at this bad boy!
