I am by no means a makeup pro, but as of late I have been playing around with it because, why not? So I’ve decided to share what I’m creating and what I’m using to make it because I genuinely love makeup and I have SO MUCH of it from samples to full products that I’ve been getting in subscription boxes.
Because I am the most uncreative person I decided to name this fancy look “Golden Eyes” and this is what I used to create it:
Smashbox Stick Foundation
I had a little bit of my Smashbox Studio Skin Shaping Foundation sample left, so I decided to use it in this look. I really do think I’ll have to add it to my regular makeup mix because I’m really liking it. It creates a really nice base for your foundation, is easy to use and is perfect for those looking for a great travel foundation option!
Tarteist Pro Glow Highlight Contour Palette
I just got the Tarteist pro glow highlight contour palette in my FabFitFun Winter 2020 box, so I decided to use it for the first time. Spoiler Alert: I LOVE IT! In this look I used “sculpt” as the lowlight and “stunner” as the highlight. It’s gorgeous, not to mention it somehow smells AMAZING. I did have to watch a video for how to use it, but once I figured it out it was really easy.
Beauty Bakerie Eyeshadow Palette
The eyeshadow for this look came from the Beauty Bakerie “Proof is in the Puddin” Eyeshadow Palette. For this look, I used “Spiced Caramel” as the base colour, and I put some “Warm Cocoa” into the crease of my eyelid. It’s amazing. This is BY FAR the best colour palette I’ve ever had because it’s filled with all of my favourite neutral colours.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade
I’m starting to love the Anastasia dipbrow pomade, I use the Ash Brown pomade. I like that it has a dark edge. My eyebrows tend to be darker than my hair, and my hair has dark and light spots so I think the ash really ties it together. While I don’t know that I’d use the Dipbrow Pomade every day, I do think I’d love to bring it into the fancy night out mix.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I have been a die-hard Better Than Sex Mascara for years. While I rotate through a few mascaras, this one is my base mascara, and it’s what I decided to use today. It gives great volume, bold colour and I just generally love it.
Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon
Anyone who knows me knows that I love a subtle look when it comes to my lips (unless I’m really going for something, then bring on the red lipstick all the way), so the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in Outback Oasis is my top pick. It glides on just like their normal lip balm, but has a tad bit of colour.
Must-Have Makeup Tools
You DO NOT need an expensive eyelash curler to make an impact, something inexpensive like the Brilliant Beauty Eyelash Curler will do perfectly. An eyelash curler helps give those of us without eyelash extensions a little lift. One you’ve got that, you just swipe on your mascara and you’re good to go.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Stencils
If you have a dramatic brow like me, you know that it doesn’t happen naturally. While everything’s pre-shaped for me, if I want it to stand out I need to make that happen. That’s where the Anastasia Beverly Hills Classic Stencils. For this look I went with the “high arch” which gives me a natural drama look.
La Beauté Soi Makeup Brushes
I use my La Beauté Soi makeup brushes for everything. They’re soft, elegant and came in a Causebox, so you know they were made right. The full set has 10 brushes and comes in a handy carrying case. All-in-all it has four face and six eye brushes, perfect for any look you’re going to create.
Beauty Blender Makeup Sponge
If you want a perfect airbrushed look, then the Beauty Blender Makeup Sponge is for you. Now, there are a ton of ways to put on your makeup, but this one sponge is one of the most universal applicators. You can use it with foundations, powders and creams.
