My FabFitFun Spring 2020 box has arrived and it’s time to review! Truthfully, it arrived about a week or so ago, but with everything that’s been going on I just haven’t gotten to it yet. That said everything that I got was nice, but there were a few items that I truly LOVED.

This month we focused mostly on beauty and home products. There was one fashion product you could have picked, but I decided to opt for something else. From a sleep assistant to a gorgeous makeup set, there is a ton of great stuff in this box!

This Works Deep Sleep Body Cocoon

This is the product I had no idea that I needed. Seriously, I have a slight bit of insomnia and a bad habit of staying up way too late and in the week that I’ve had it, the This Works Deep Sleep Body Cocoon has made a significant difference.

It’s made of lavender, chamomile and vetivert (among other things), and that powerful combination helps me drift off to sleep so much easier. I rub it on both my hands, then do a quick dab on my temples and down the side of my face and run my freshly-moisturized hands down my neck to place any run-off there.

The original price of this cream is $40 USD, and honestly, I think it might be worth it. I would highly recommend giving it a try if you’re having trouble sleeping.

Tarte Farteist PRO Glow Highlight & Contour Palette

I LOVE the Tarteist Pro Glow Highlight & Contour Palette. I think it takes the cake for my favourite item in the FabFitFun Spring 2020 box. I absolutely love it. It has six different shades: lit (champagne highlight), strobe (pearl highlight), fire (bronze highlight), stunner (opalescent highlight), sculpt (powder contour) and shade (cream contour).

I admit that I have zero experience or knowledge when it comes to contouring, so I did have to do a quick Google search so I knew what I was doing. But after a quick tutorial and some playing around, it worked out amazingly—seriously you can see it in my latest “get the look” beauty post

The original cost of this palette is $45 USD (which seems low) and I TOTALLY LOVE IT. It’s by far my favourite pick this season.

WEI™ Two-in-One Purify and Glow Mask Collection

These Wei masks are easily my FAVOURITE mask. I’m not sure if it’s the simplicity of the packaging, the elegance of the brush or the fact that they dry on evenly and don’t itch my face but they are AMAZING. You get four of both their brown sugar masks and four golden root mud masks, along with the brush to brush it on.

I have NEVER used a brush to apply a mask but girl, it’s so luxurious. You use the brown sugar mak if you need to exfoliate a bit and the golden root mud mask to deep cleanse your skin. I cannot recommend these bad boys enough. The normal cost is $45 USD, making the box totally worth it.

Chic & Tonic Set of 4 Silicone Straws

If you have not traded in your disposable straws for something reusable, now is the time. I already have metal straws, but in some cases, they don’t give the most pleasant experience but so far I LOVE the Chic & Tonic Silicone Straws.

The set includes four brightly-coloured silicone straws, a brush cleaner and a carrying case, so you can pack these babies up and head out for a picnic or bring them to your brunch! They work perfectly, are stuff enough to stand up straight, but they bend a bit which is perfect for drinking. Highly recommended, especially at their low $15 USD price.

Caravan Home Diamond Woven Rug

If you’re looking to add a bohemian flair to your home, then the Caravan Home Diamond Woven Rug will do just that—but it’ll keep it classy with its non-intrusive black-and-white design. This is the perfect bathroom or kitchen rug. It’s 21 by 34 inches and made out of 100% cotton.

I can vouch that this carpet is super cute. It’s so cute that I’m a tad bit hesitant to throw it on the floor in my house because my dog has black, clingy hair and I’m worried it will get all over the white. Regardless, it’s super cute!

The original cost for this is $48 USD. That’s basically the price of the entire box, and I’d say this is a definite LOVE.

AG Hair Fast Food Leave On Conditioner

If you’re a regular reader of Hello Taee, you know that I am ALWAYS on the lookout for amazing hair care products for my uber long and super curly locks. I have to say while the AG Hair Fast Food is OK it doesn’t make the top 3 by any means. It’s a little lacklustre for curly hair.

While it does help smooth out ends and my hair has been considerably less frizzy, it does not help you brush through tangles, which is really what I’m looking for. If your hair isn’t super tangly, then this cream leave-on conditioner might actually be perfect for you. It doesn’t add on any extra weight and it goes on easy. It’s worth $24 USD regularly, and while I’m glad I tried it I probably won’t use it again.

Jabonería Marianella Imperial Jade Body Oil

While this stuff is really nice, I think it would be better as a massage body oil—sadly with the current state of the world I can’t actually test it out on anyone ?. Alas, it is an oil that you put on and it helps to moisturize and refresh your skin.

I’m not super charmed by it. I do love that it’s cruelty-free (but I kind of think everything should be), and it smells AMAZING. But all-in-all, especially at its $68 USD original price, I won’t be adding it to the regular mix.

Purlisse Watermelon Energizing 2 Minute Peel & Polish

I LOVE the Purlisse Watermelon Peel & Polish. Not only does it smell AMAZING, but it does a great job of repairing your damaged skin and adding a bit of moisture. I really cannot recommend it enough. For its $24 price, it’s definitely worth what it does.

I either use this bad boy right before the end of my bath or at the end of the day before I put on my nighttime moisturizer. It’s gentle enough that it can be used daily. For brighter, gently exfoliated skin, apply it to a freshly washed, wet face and let it sit for 2 minutes before rinsing it off. Amazing!

What did the FabFitFun Spring 2020 box cost?

The FabFitFun spring 2020 box was $50 USD for a seasonal subscription, shipping included. But I’m Canadian, so it costs a tad bit more… With the conversion and the additional $8 in shipping my total box costs $82.64. At the end of the day I still felt it was worth it.

Now, the penny-pinching version of me thinks how impractical. But it is a true treat yourself expense. So, IF you can afford it, it’s well worth it. If you can’t, maybe hold off for a bit.
